Buy the Jameela Jacket sewing pattern from Sewing Patterns by Masin. Jameela is a cosy jacket with two length options: hip length or cropped. This jacket is unlined and features two big welt pockets at the front and a box pleat at the back. The cropped version comes with a sleeve placket and sleeve cuff whilst the longer version features a simple sleeve hem.

Suggested fabrics: Mid- to heavy weight woven fabrics are best suited for this pattern, such as canvas, thick denim, corduroy, twill, wool, jacquard. For thicker fabrics like wool or heavy weight jacquard, the designer recommends sewing the boxy sleeve option of View B, as it is very hard to sew the sleeve placket and cuff of View A with thicker fabrics.

Fabric requirements: If you work with patterned fabric, you might need more fabric to pattern match.

140 cm (55″) wide fabric: Cropped version (View A), 180 - 230 cm (71"" - 91"") // Long version (View B), 200 - 260 cm (79"" - 103"").

Sizing: A – J (approx. UK 8 – 28, based on our ). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern was drafted for a height of 160 – 170 cm. If you are shorter or taller than this, you might consider shortening or lengthening the pattern.

Notions: 75 cm (30"") of interfacing at least 100 cm (40"") wide; four (View A) or five (View B) 20 mm (3/4"") buttons; two 12 mm (1/2"") buttons for View A cuffs.
